Return policies and refund procedures
Rent with Rêve is a curated designer rental platform, and every rental ships with a prepaid return label in the box. At the end of your rental period you drop the piece off with the carrier by noon on your return date. If that date falls on a Sunday or a holiday, noon the following day is fine.
Professional cleaning is included with every rental, so you send the piece back as it is.
What is the standard return window for rentals?
A rental goes back at the end of the period you chose: 4, 7 or 14 days, counted from the day the piece arrives, not the day it ships. Drop it off by noon on your return date using the prepaid label.
If a piece doesn’t fit, tell us within 24 hours of delivery. A late return costs $15 per piece per day, and after 7 days a piece is treated as a non-return and charged at its full resale value, less any late fees already paid.
How are refunds handled if a garment does not fit as expected?
Try the piece on as soon as it arrives. If it doesn’t fit, message us within 24 hours of delivery, send it back the same day with the tag still attached, and share the return tracking number.
If another size or a similar piece can reach you before your event, we swap it at no extra charge. If not, you choose between the full rental price as credit toward a future rental, or a refund of the rental price minus shipping and cleaning. Credit is issued as soon as the piece is back with us. Refunds are processed within 3 business days, and your bank may take a further 5–10 business days to show them.
Pre-loved pieces bought outright can be returned for store credit within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in original condition; return shipping on those is the customer’s. Full terms are in our Refund Policy.
Rental pricing and value
Rent with Rêve rents designer occasion wear one piece at a time, with no membership. Each piece has its own price for 4, 7 or 14 days, shown on its product page before you book. Longer rentals cost more in total and less per day.
In October 2026, wedding guest pieces rented for a median of $85 for four days, and half fell between $65 and $115. That is a median of about 18% of the original retail price. Gowns for weddings and black tie rented for a median of about $115 for four days, against a median original retail price of about $500.
If you fall for a piece during your rental, you can buy it at a discounted buyout price, less what you have already paid for the rental.
Are there hidden fees in the rental pricing?
The rental price includes professional cleaning, insurance while the piece is in transit, and cover for normal wear and tear. Any shipping charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and there is no membership or subscription fee.
Two charges can follow a rental, and both are set out in our terms: a late fee of $15 per piece per day, and a repair fee for significant damage, which never exceeds the piece’s depreciated value.
Can rental periods be extended if needed?
Yes, when the piece isn’t already reserved by the next renter. Contact us before your return date; an extension carries an additional fee. If you already know you will want the piece longer, choose the 7- or 14-day period when you book.

Shipping reliability and costs
Rent with Rêve ships every order within 2–3 business days of checkout and times it to arrive before your rental begins, so there is time to try the piece on. Tracking is emailed as soon as the piece is on its way, and the rental period starts on the day it arrives, not the day it ships.
Every rental is insured in transit. If a piece arrives damaged, send us photos and we will send a replacement or a full refund. We ship to all 50 US states, and not yet outside the United States.
What are the typical shipping costs for rentals?
Shipping is priced by order and shown at checkout before you pay. Every rental box includes a prepaid return label. Current terms are in our Shipping Policy.
How far in advance should I book to ensure timely delivery?
Book as soon as you know the date. Your dates are held once the order is paid, and every piece is one of one, so booking early secures the piece itself.
Orders ship within 2–3 business days and are timed to arrive for your start date. Carriers occasionally run behind, and carrier delays are not refundable, so choose a start date with a little buffer before your event.
